We spent months staring at the empty space above our main staircase, totally paralyzed by choice. Everything we looked at was either too modern, too boring, or felt like it belonged in a hotel lobby. Then I stumbled upon this Moroccan Ball Pendant Light from World’s Handicraft, and it instantly changed the entire vibe of our home.
The spherical shape is what completely sold me. Unlike traditional downward-facing teardrop pendants, the globe design means that the intricate, hand-pierced metalwork covers every single inch. When you look closely at the brass, you can see the tiny variations that prove a real human being sat down and tapped out these geometric patterns by hand. It’s a genuine piece of artisan history, not a factory clone. During the day, it just hangs there looking like an exotic, golden globe that beautifully catches the natural light from our upstairs windows.
But nighttime is when this lamp puts on a spectacular show. Because it’s a full sphere, the light escapes in a stunning 360-degree radius. The moment we flip the switch, our entire stairwell and the surrounding walls are covered in this mesmerizing, lace-like tapestry of shadows.
