How to use a leather pouf
A Moroccan pouf is one of the most versatile pieces you can own: a footstool in front of the sofa, extra seating in the living room, a soft alternative to a coffee table, or a side table for books and a lamp. Poufs are light and easy to move, so they fit into corners and small spaces where bulky furniture won’t.
Filling your pouf
Some of our poufs ship unfilled, with a zip on the underside so you can stuff them at home; others come pre-stuffed with recycled thread and fabric. Each product page says which. Traditionally poufs were filled with camel hair; today old textiles, cotton or wool fibre and polystyrene beads are all common. Pack the filling firmly and evenly for a smooth, graceful shape.
Caring for leather
Leather is easy to look after: wipe spills with a clean, dry cloth and avoid excess water or soap. Keep the pouf out of direct sunlight, which can fade the color, and use a leather conditioner now and then to keep it supple.
