We wanted to create a space that felt like an escape, and the moment we unboxed our new collection of Moroccan Lantern Designs from World’s Handicraft, we knew the “staycation” had officially begun.

What sets these apart from the cheap, sheet-metal lanterns you find at big-box retailers is the sheer architectural integrity. You can hold these in your hands and feel the substantial weight of the hand-forged brass. The “tower” silhouette is a masterclass in geometric balance. You can see the tiny, deliberate tool marks where a master artisan spent days hand-piercing the intricate Arabesque motifs and star patterns into the metal. Even in the middle of a bright California afternoon, they sit on our side tables and stone walls like stunning, weathered artifacts from a high-end riad.

But the real transformation happens the second the sun dips below the horizon. We opted for the classic warm-bulb setup, and the effect is nothing short of hypnotic. Because of the multi-faceted lantern design, the light doesn’t just “glow”—it travels.
