We spent almost two years restoring a historic 1920s home, and when it came to the formal dining room, we hit a massive roadblock with the lighting. We wanted a grand chandelier that felt authentic to the era—something with real weight and history. The problem was the metal. Brass felt a little too bright for our earthy color palette, and polished silver was way too cold. When we finally discovered the Copper Moroccan Chandelier on the World’s Handicraft site, it was like the missing puzzle piece just clicked into place.

The rich, rosy hue of the raw copper is absolutely mesmerizing in person. Unboxing this beast of a fixture was an event in itself. The sheer weight of the metal tells you immediately that this isn’t some flimsy, mass-produced replica. You can run your hands over the grand tiers and feel the tiny, deliberate tool marks where an artisan sat and hand-pierced every single geometric star and floral motif. It has a beautiful, natural warmth to it that makes the room feel grounded and elegant, even in the middle of the afternoon when the lights are completely off.

But nothing prepares you for the moment the sun goes down. Because copper has that natural, fiery undertone, the light bouncing off the inside of the chandelier creates an unbelievably warm, amber-tinted glow. It pushes through the intricate cutouts and casts the most sprawling, majestic shadow tapestries across our dining room ceiling and down the vintage wallpaper. We put it on a dimmer, and it instantly turns our dinner parties into these cozy, enchanting, and deeply intimate gatherings. It feels like dining under a canopy of stars.

I had my doubts about having a massive, multi-tiered copper chandelier shipped safely to South Carolina, but the packaging was basically a fortress. It arrived in flawless condition, and our electrician was incredibly impressed by the build quality when he hung it. This chandelier isn’t just a lighting fixture; it is the absolute soul of our home!
